Sunny Spring is Here...

So Teddy, DH and I headed up to the
lake for our first Spring walk. We
will not discuss how out of shape I
am...no we won't!
But I was also on a mission to photograph
textures. The trees certainly had lots
to show after our wet winter.
(there was still a small pile of snow in the
parking lot)
Anyway lots of things growing on
the trees.
And bark that showed the high
winds we have had
When we got home Teddy proceeded
to take a long nap and I took a
photo of a very large paw print
with nails... by are front door.
Wonder if it was our local
bobcat visiting ....
Not a great photo but I think you can
see where the nails dug in (TOP).
Tomorrow they say the rain is
returning, which might be good
as I fear I shall be a tad bit stiff.
Who me..naw , I am the picture of
vitality. Yah right.

Hi Sharon, Spring hasn't really arrived yet in our area, but we hope it does soon. Does it bother you about having a bobcat that close to your front door? I would be a chicken for sure knowing something like that would be that close to me.In your pictures, she or he looks fairly good size. Just be careful and watch out for Teddy. Hope the stiffness goes away from your hike. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri
friend.

We are supposed to have solid rain tomorrow also. Your photos are texture-magic! Looks like a bobcat or a bear. Our bear already came and tore through the trash cans a few weeks ago. I thought he was still hibernating...silly me. Wonderful walk you enjoyed.

I'm waiting for some nice weather here myself, it's finally supposed to warm up a little this week-end, but it's also supposed to rain. I can relate with being out of shape Sharon, it's been a long, cold, snowy winter!

So glad spring has arrived for you. Wonderful photos, you take care with that bobcat.

Yes, but you did it! And you can keep on doing it! It really is shocking how quickly we can get out of shape after a winter of watching the world beyond our windows.

It looks like a lovely spring walk. Things always look different after a long rainy winter - a good time for reviewing them and getting photos. Apparently the bobcat was out on a spring walk too.

It's amazing how stiff we get being inside all winter? Our weather keeps jumping back and forth. One day it's 70 and the next day it's 40. So ready for permanent spring.

The textures of bark are always so beautiful - imagine these will make it into some watercolors. I can see that Teddy will be on escorted outside ventures at home....

Sharon - these photos are wonderful. I love moss growing up trees and all the rugged bark. Please be so careful with that bobcat running loose. I think it wasn't that long ago you were seeing bear and moose. You certainly live in the great wilderness. Thanks for sharing and have a great week.

You have bears around your home ? I would be so scared all the time !! But lovely pics , and yes a little exercise after the winter hibernation can be a sore one :-))

We have had great weather all week and today it's raining cats and dogs, and I'm loving it. The trees and flowers like it too. Glad you enjoyed your walk, hugs, Pearl

Keep that Teddy away from Bob! Wasn't the weekend great? And then what happened?

I do not believe it, where do you live is it in a zoo????? We only have wild rabbits and foxes and that's all. And I am glad there is nothing more....
